West Bank Melt Down; Photos from Thursday’s Gaza Solidarity Protest

by The Daily Lede

Protestors took to the streets of the West Bank Thursday in support of the people of Gaza who have been under siege by Israeli forces for the past 17 days.

Israeli troops shot and killed three protestors and hundreds more were injured from rubber bullets and live ammunition fired at the thousands of demonstrators in the West Bank.

Protestors threw Molotov cocktails, rocks and fireworks at Israeli soldiers from behind burning barricades while security forces tried to quell the demonstrators using various crowd dispersal methods.

The violence began after allies of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah movement marched from Ramallah to Jerusalem to protest Israels 17 day offensive on Gaza.

So far 39 Arab protestors have been arrested.
