Chicago Shooting Update#3: Employee shot CEO after recent demotion

Officers responding to a shooting this morning in Chicago’s financial distract confirm that a recently demoted employee of ArrowStream shot a CEO in the head, wounding him, and then turned the gun on himself taking his own life.
The suspect, a 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and the 54-year-old CEO was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Chicago’s Fox32 reports that witnesses say the man, who was demoted last Friday, came into the 17th floor office located in the 200 block of South LaSalle Thursday with a firearm and shot the CEO of the company twice.
The company, ArrowStream, was in the process of downsizing its workforce.
