BREAKING: Putin bans agricultural imports from sanctioning countries for one year

Today Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered government agencies to restrict the import of food and agricultural products from countries who have imposed sanctions against Russia over the conflict in Ukraine.

The ban does not currently list any specific countries or products, but a full list will be provided at a later date.

Agri-food exports to Russia from the United States and Canada amount to roughly $1.3 billion and $532 million respectively for 2012-2013
