Canada’s PM Stephen Harper has promised a CC-177 Globemaster and a CC-130J Hercules transport to deliver military supplies to Iraq.

The supplies consist of military armaments supplied by allied forces and will be flown to Erbil over the next few days.  30 Canadian Forces personnel will accompany the supplies to Iraq.

The military transport comes after a $5 million humanitarian aid commitment was made by the Harper administration last weekend.
