by The Daily Lede

New York City was the scene of mass protests in support of Michael Brown who was shot and killed by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer Saturday afternoon.

Thousands took to the streets for a rally in New York City’s Union Square which made it’s way up to Times Square adding followers along the way.  The New York City Police Department issued a Level 2 mobilization and began arresting protesters when they refuse to clear the area.

LiveStream video blogger, James from the Internet, provides us with some late breaking footage of the rally and gives us a run down of the event.
