BREAKING: KTLA reports death threats to high school students in Santa Clarita Valley, warns of mass shootings
by The Daily Lede
An Instagram posting with images of guns and dead bodies spoke of death threats to Santa Clarita Valley students and promises to make families suffer were under investigation on Sunday.
Santa Clarita police received calls around 10 pm Saturday from citizens who had seen the threats posted on the sharing social network.
One posting alongside an image of the campus’s marquee read “Valencia High School has been nominated to be shot up first.” and another read “Slow and painful deaths will happen on a very dreadful day. I must not tell you which day it will be, you will find out yourself.”
The threats were directed specifically to high school students and were also racist and sexist in nature and have since been deleted.
