A planned rally by community members and activists is slated to start at 3 pm local time in front of LAPD headquarters in downtown Los Angeles Sunday for 25-year-old Ezell Ford, an African American man who was shot and killed by two LAPD officers.

Officials for the LAPD say the man attacked one of the officers and made an attempt for the officer’s gun. ¬†Witnesses say there was no struggle between the men and accuse the officers of shooting Ezell Ford in cold blood.

The rally will take place at the intersection of Main and First Streets.
