Seven NATO allies plan rapid reaction force in Ukraine

A new rapid reaction force consisting of seven NATO nations with at least 10,000 soldiers is being assembled in response to Russia’s intervention in Ukraine.

The Financial Times reports the British-led force would involve air an and naval units as well as ground troops from Denmark, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, the Netherlands with expressed interest from Canada. 

British Prime Minister David Cameron is set to announce the creation of the force at next week’s NATO Summit in Wales.
