Police believe London beheading was random attack

A woman who was beheaded today in the town of Edmonton, North London was a random attack, according to police officials.

Police arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the incident who say the man also attacked a passing vehicle just before the incident occurred.

Reports also indicate of potential victims prior to the woman who was beheaded fended off the attacker and escaped.

Police were alerted to the incident by callers indicating that an attack on an animal–a cat or dog–was in progress.
